Stavros E. Mountantonakis, MD, MBA is an Associate Professor of Cardiology at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. He is also the Associate Director of Clinical Electrophysiology at Lenox Hill Hospital and serves as Director of the Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship Program at Northwell Health.  Dr. Mountantonakis received his medical degree with honors from the University of Thessaly in Greece. After serving at the Greek Air Force he migrated to the US to pursue his career in Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at The Cleveland Clinic and his General Cardiology Fellowship at Albert Einstein-Montefiore Medical Center. He went on to specialize in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and Heart Rhythm Society. He has conducted extensive research in the areas of invasive and noninvasive treatment of atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia. He has a particular interest in the application of novel technology in the diagnosis and treatment of those conditions and has authored several articles in high impact journals.
