Dr. Kars Neven (1975) was introduced to cardiology by Prof. Hein Wellens. After medical school, he had his cardiology training in Maastricht and Zwolle (NL). From 2008 until 2010,Kars Neven was trained as a clinical electrophysiologist by Prof. Karl-Heinz Kuck and Prof. Feifan Ouyang in Hamburg (D). In Utrecht (NL), he worked with Dr. Fred Wittkampf on preclinical cardiac electroporation, resulting in the introduction of clinical pulsed field ablation. Since 2012, Kars Neven is head of electrophysiology at Alfried Krupp hospital in Essen (D).
